faCellitate announces the launch of BIOINSTRUCT? ? a next-generation synthetic coating developed by faCellitate GmbH, designed to transform the way human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are cultured.

faCellitate GmbH is proud to announce the launch of its new product, BIOINSTRUCT? ? a ready-to-use coating solution for iPSCs.

Mannheim, Germany, 04.04.2025 (PresseBox) -

Introducing BIOINSTRUCT?: Transforming Stem Cell Research with Innovation

faCellitate GmbH is proud to announce the launch of BIOINSTRUCT?, a groundbreaking synthetic coating designed to enhance the growth and maintenance of human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). This innovative product promises to transform stem cell culture with its robust performance, purity, and predictability.

BIOINSTRUCT? provides a defined, xeno-free microenvironment that ensures consistent cell culture with minimal variability. It matches standard matrices in expansion and maintenance, making it an ideal choice for researchers and laboratories seeking reliable and efficient stem cell culture solutions.

Additionally, BIOINSTRUCT? is stable at room temperature and does not require cooling for use, storage, or delivery?making handling significantly easier.

Key Features:

Performance: Matches standard matrices in expansion and maintenance.

Purity: Provides a defined, xeno-free and animal-free microenvironment for reliable cell culture.

Predictability: Ensures consistent cell culture with minimal variability.

BIOINSTRUCT? has been extensively validated for its use with induced pluripotent stem cells. Stem cells grown on BIOINSTRUCT? maintain their compact morphology characterized by a high nuclear-to-cytoplasmic ratio. Furthermore, BIOINSTRUCT? supports robust proliferation of iPSCs over 10 passages, accommodating both single-cell and clump splitting routines in various cell lines and cell culture media. Cells grown on BIOINSTRUCT? demonstrate high expression of pluripotency-related genes, including NANOG, TRA-1-81, OCT4, and Sox2, even after 10 passages.  Stem cells also maintain their pluripotent state over extended periods of culture. Importantly, BIOINSTRUCT? preserves the genetic integrity of iPSCs, allowing them to remain genetically stable and exhibit a normal karyotype during long-term culture.

BIOINSTRUCT? will be available as coating solutions, offering flexibility for different laboratory needs.

Dr. Sandra Segeletz, Director of R&D at faCellitate, stated: "Over the past 10 years working with stem cells, I often wished a coating like this had already existed. Its unmatched simplicity, combined with robust support for iPSC characteristics, sets a new standard in the field."

If you have any questions or are interested in BIOINSTRUCT,  feel free to reach out to our team. You can also apply for a free trial to experience the difference BIOINSTRUCT? can make in your stem cell culture.

About faCellitate

faCellitate develops patented polymeric surface coatings for plastic and glassware enabling 3-dimensional cell culture, amongst other uses. Initially, the technology was developed at the BASF research department for polymers. The company and team were formed at Chemovator during a nearly three year incubation period and spun-off end of 2021. During the period at Chemovator from BASF, the company turned the technology platform into a pipeline of high-tech applications and start building an international digital marketing platform.

faCellitate is also advancing its platform technology into other areas. Under the brand BIOINSTRUCT™, the company is applying its technology to modify polymer coated surfaces with peptides to create biospecific lab material surfaces for customers.
